ARC-6 Hot Wire Tig
Bore Cladding System

The ARC-6 Bore Cladder is a 4 axis CNC controlled hot wire TIG welding system. The unique "Roto-Head" allows the Arc6 to clad cylinders of almost any shape with out the need of a positioner. Common shapes include round and oval cylinders. The shape is programmed using linear and circular gcode commands. When a circular command such a G2 is used the Roto-Head (A axis) can be included to keep the torch pointed perpendicular to the cylinder wall. Our vectored ACV can control the arc voltage by moving the position of the torch perpendicular to the current A axis position. The Arc 6 Bore Cladder can also AVC in the Z axis for welding on flat surfaces and it can AVC in the X,Y and Z axis where neither the Vectored AVC or the Z axis AVC alone will work for welding as. This is useful for areas as intersections of flat surfaces and a cylinder wall.

ARC-6 Features Include:

  1. Available as a 4 axis manipulator with linier X, Y and Z axis and rotating A axis.
  2. Axis movement can be custom sized from 48" x48" x 24" to 96" x 96" x 48" to fit your welding needs.
  3. A axis provides continuous rotation of welding torch through slip ring setup.
  4. CNC control of all axes and weld parameters; based on Delta Tau PMAC motion controller.
  5. Industrial PC based human machine interface.
  6. Storage of multiple CNC programs.
  7. Real time display and override of welding paramater.
  8. Three selectable integrated AVC (arc voltage control) options..
  9. Robot style teach and repeat or RS274 (G code) programming on or offline.
  10. Precision profile slides and rotary axes with brushless servo drives.
  11. Error logging.
  12. Multiple background PLC programs handle housekeeping tasks such as monitoring conditions and decoding custom G and M codes.
  13. 350 amp welding power supply, 300 amp hot wire power and 36" bore torch.
  14. Optional video monitoring of arc.
