ARC Specialties, an automated machinery manufacturer, this week announced it has acquired torch developer and manufacturer BOG Torch.  The two Houston-based companies had partnered for many years in the Machinery Industry.  Owner of BOG Torch Joe Williams developed a custom bore clad torch for one of ARC Specialties most successful automated welding machines, the ARC-5.  The acquisition allows ARC Specialties to completely manufacture and maintain all aspects of their welding systems.  Owner of ARC Specialties Daniel Allford explained, “Our motive is to be more responsive to our customers.  Now we are in the torch business.”   As the torch is passed to next generation, ARC Specialties appoints Randy Ellington as Product Manager to oversee further development and integration of the new torches into ARC Specialties’ product line.
