Welding Projects 
At Arc Specialties we strive to use advanced control strategies to improve weld quality and productivity. Welding has traditionally been a combination of art and science. Precise motion and process control shifts this balance towards science. We capitalize on the strengths of both humans and machines. Machines are precise, repeatable and immune to hostile environments and boredom. Humans excel at adapting and optimizing systems. For this reason we believe that the man-machine interface is a critical feature in every system we build. Our systems emphasize ease of programming and maximum feed back to encourage the operator to monitor and optimize the process. This feedback ranges from indicators, to arc video monitors, to real time spread sheet style data acquisition systems. To simplify programming we use "teach and repeat" techniques and custom macro commands optimized around a customers specific needs. When part variations are too large to be handled by adaptive control algorithms we put the operator "in the loop" with amperage, voltage, feed rate and trajectory override controls. At Arc Specialties we combine our knowledge of welding and automation with a understanding of the customers needs to design systems which work in the real world. |
