Technical Inside Sales

ARC Specialties, manufacturer of robotic and automated machinery needs an experienced Technical Inside Sales representative. This position will include working with outside sales associates to understand project scope and requirements, work with engineers to develop a viable solution, contacting vendors for pricing, preparing estimated project cost reports, creating project concept drawings, preparation of budgetary and final project proposals. Light domestic and international travel will be required. This is a full time salary position with benefits.
 
 
Position Requirements:
  1. Candidate must have BS in engineering or industrial distribution
  2. Provide solutions to customers in the form of generating proposals
  3. Writing skills are essential as lengthy proposals are integral to the selling process
  4. Competent with Word, Excel and CRM software
  5. Inventor or Solid Works 3D modeling skills are desirable
  6. Comfortable and familiar with manufacturing technologies and environments
  7. Able to work closely with engineers to develop proposal documentation
  8. Candidate must be very detail oriented and skilled in document control
  9. Able to travel in US and international

Industrial Robotics Outside Sales Specialist

ARC Specialties, a Houston based robot manufacturer has an opening for an Outside Sales Specialist with industrial automation and robotic experience. This position includes managing an existing customer base as well as developing new customers. This is a full time, exempt salaried position with benefits. Will relocate the right candidate.
Position Requirements:
  1. Identify and contact potential customers for robotic and industrial automation systems
  2. Generate and qualify industrial automation sales leads
  3. Provide technical information required for proposal development
  4. Present and follow up up on proposals to the customer
  5. Work with customers, engineers and support staff to determine the best solutions for automation requirements
  6. Manage multiple opportunities concurrently while continuing to develop new relationships and projects.
  7. Timely follow up to inbound inquiries, marketing qualified leads, and referrals
  8. Proficient with software like Word, Excel, Outlook e-mail, CRM and Adobe Acrobat used in generating proposals, study documentation, and other reporting requirements
  9. Comfortable and familiar with manufacturing technologies and environments
  10. Candidate must be very detail oriented and skilled in document control
  11. Able to travel in US and international
Qualifications:
  1. Ideal candidate will have BS in Engineering or Industrial Distribution
  2. Inventor or Solid Works 3D modeling skills are desirable
  3. Minimum of 3 years’ experience selling, designing, or implementing robotic automation systems or automation system components
  4. Working knowledge of typical automation system peripheral components (ex. material handling, automatic feeding, vision processes, system controls)
  5. Working knowledge of typical manufacturing processes
  6. Familiarity with major robot manufacturers

Motion Control Programmer

ARC Specialties, manufacturer of robotic and custom automated machinery needs an experienced Motion Control Programmer. This is a full time, exempt salaried position with benefits. Will relocate the right candidate.

This position will be responsible for programming motion control systems and the associated interfacing with PLCs (programmable logic controller), HMIs (human-machine interface) and Servo drive systems.

Candidate must have proven experience in motion control programming IEC 61131-31 PLCS software languages and logic with any of the following motion controllers: Allen Bradley, Omron, Beckhoff, or Delta Tau.  Additional experience in Microsoft Visual Studio C#, Java, advanced computer networking skills and ABB / Fanuc / Kuka robot programming are a plus.

Candidate must be able to perform system design, programming, simulation, testing, start-up, and commissioning.  This position will be responsible for motor sizing, torque/speed calculation, motion mechanism selection (gearing, timing belt, reducer, rack and pinion, lead screw, conveyor, etc.) and specifying products for each application.  Good communication skills are required for interfacing with customers to support sales, installation, and service activities.

Some travel will be necessary for machine commissioning, customer training and service support.
