In this episode of The Roboticist Chronicles, we take a trip to downtown Houston where we visit John S. Egbert of Egbert, McDaniel & Swartz to discuss the subject of patent law.
I have been an entrepreneur since 1983. Historically, 90% of start-ups fail. I have yet to bankrupt one (knock on wood). People ask how I did it. So we are going to do a series on Dan’s Business Secrets, or Dan’s BS for short. Since I learn from others, I will have numerous guests on the podcast.
Episode 2 is about patents, trade secrets, and intellectual property. John Egbert has been the ARC Specialties patent attorney for over 20 years. I have learned a lot from John in the process of filing patents and trademarks. We have had 4 patents granted to date. He has agreed to share his knowledge and a few interesting stories on our episode today.
